Where would we be without the women from history?

So often, they are framed as solely mothers and wives, as footnotes in the stories we tell. Women’s actions and accomplishments, while rarely discussed, have affected every period of history and discovery. Their stories are fascinating, faceted, and worthy of telling- not just as niche stories, but as an integral part of the past. The more we look into the details of history, the more we see the true impact and value women have always had. After all, a history without women is a history re-written specifically to exclude women.

it’s up to us to remember

As the inheritors of women’s work, it’s our responsibility to keep their names alive. So, here is A History Without- it started as a collection of art and apparel on Etsy, and now it’s growing into a community for information, inspiration, empowerment and positivity. A place to take a breather from the storm around us and remember all we’ve accomplished, and all the opportunities we have, together.
